How fast is the promotion from BDR to AE, AM, or CSM?

I am told that I can be an AE in 4-6 months with my experience and if I do well. I intend of performing but I have heard horror stories about people fired without PIPs , grind culture, hard time using PTO, work/life balance, etc. Advice? TyI just read that ZoomInfo laid off 6% of their workforce yesterday. Curious as to what impact this had on the sales organization, if any? Were all departments impacted? Was thinking this would be a good org to come into now given AI, etc but maybe not the right time?
