Question

I am interviewing for an Enterprise Account Manager role out on the West.  Anyone with knowledge of the role and territory have anything to share with respect to % of quota attainment, culture, what a day in the life of a rep in this role looks like?  What's the good, the bad and the ugly? Thx!

Tough to hit quota in this environment.  ZI runs on a monthly, if not weekly, cadence.  In the ENT role, you're supposed to be strategic but the expectations of bringing in little deals and upsells constantly takes away from your time to focus on the big bets.  Ridiculous expectations to make 20 calls a day and massive amounts of admin crap that will make your head spin.
Great product, questionable sales ethics-everyone was either oversold or overbought so your world is about saving churn.
Culture is very challenging (I'm being diplomatic) and everyone is back-to-back and stressed.  However, depending on where you came from, you will learn a ton since you have responsibility to sell so many products.  
Depending on your book (as in every sales job) you can get some great accounts and make some serious $ but in ENT, there are a lot of accounts that aren't ENT worthy and are SMB accounts who are barely surviving so little chance of growing those.

So it really depends on what you're looking for.  There is NO work/life balance at ZI.  If you're ok with that (single with no kids) and want to grind each day, then go for it.  It's not for everyone.

There are a ton of very smart and great people there and a few people in leadership who are fabulous (CRO-James).  But in the world of tech sales, ZI will survive so it's a good place to hang your hat to wait out the economic headwinds.

$110K a month quota, not sure the percentage of who hits but if you miss in two consecutive months you’re out. Culture is the worst I’ve been apart of. Out of 30 new hires in my class, I was one of two left after a year. Get ready for the worst job you’ll ever have.
