Former Employee What started off as promising became a nightmare. ZoomInfo is going downhill, losing SMB/MM customers to much cheaper competitors who basically do the same things we do. You would think having a product that’s harder to sell would be the worst part of this role, but it most certainly is not.
Middle management is just an echo chamber for upper leadership. They watch your slack status and slack you if you appear offline, micromanage your every move, and fill the slack chat with endless spam that distracts more than it helps. Compensation is a joke. Every single year I manager to make less here than I did the year prior despite performing better every year. They change our incentives and comp every other month and its never in an SDRs favor. This wouldn’t be the end of the world if there was a pathway out, but they have shut down all internal moves to closing roles. You will get passed up for promotions when they do come around after doing an assignment and interviewing with a company you already work at.
This company had promise but now tons of employees are jumping ship. The culture and entire org is broken.
