Overall really enjoyed the role and day to day job. I was fortunate enough to make good money ($130,000 base+commission) and I worked with some amazing people! This job really taught me a lot and gave a lot of experience quick. Biggest cons though are lack of experienced management and company culture is the worst I’ve ever seen. Very toxic from bottom to top. Managers/directors talking poorly about each other/people they’re managing (my direct co-workers) and it’s just not an ideal situation to be in. That said it is a fun role in your early 20s. Office was fun in my experience but again, very much like a locker room/frat house type talk. Made some great friends, and got the experience I needed to get out and get to a better role elsewhere.

Look, when I first started at Darktrace it was a shit show. Three years is a long time though, and the company is trending towards becoming one of the best in the space. With the recent Thoma Bravo aquisition, I would expect to be fully aligned with market in the next year, and then beating it in the next three. My overall experience was very subpar. Darktrace isn't trying to help you. Company policies actively work against their AEs and only promote Datkrace making money. You might find a couple good people here but not worth the time. Use as stepping stone to get into cyber security space.
