Current Employee 1Password used to be a great place to work, but not anymore. Only about 2 AEs hit target and made President’s Club last year, despite there being well over 100 reps across the org. The pressure from leadership has increased significantly, but instead of support, reps are met with more top down stress and unrealistic expectations. It has become an incredibly high stress environment with little acknowledgement from leadership. In fact, things seem to be getting worse.
The higher you move up in segment, the more apparent it becomes that many of the managers are operating with an SMB mindset. A lot of them are first time managers, and even when they underperform or contribute to a toxic culture, leadership seems content to keep them in place.
There are some great people at 1Password, but unfortunately, many of them have left.
