Dell was lower on compensation at the time compared to other technology companies but the ESPP program made up for the difference. The culture shifted in the late 90’s to 2000’s as a result of growth, moral suffered and the grass was no longer green.

Dell currently has challenges with workforce reduction but it’s really a company who pays employees well and aims for achievable targets - that being said I have had some unachievable half year targets but it normally evens itself out. Overall I would recommend Dell as a place to work

Dell got disrupted by their competition as they do things differently and not as fully Engineered as Dell is doing but for most of the customers, that's enough.
