Former Employee I was at Elastic for 4 years. Success depends very much on current customer accounts in your territory. The vast majority of revenue comes from expanding existing customers. They have not cracked the code of prospecting into new accounts and landing them. The new logos are all brought by partners and you're lucky if you get one.
It's a really hard grind and it's complete feast or famine. Some people do really well and some people just struggle. Leadership is completely disconnected and doesn't understand this - they drink their own kool-aid.
The environment is starting to become a little toxic. Micromanagment (daily activity tracking by RVPs - how many meetings did you have? How many calls did you make?), firing people if they miss just a few quarters in a row, etc. Not a good time to join. Browse Other Reviews
