Territory/account assignment changes too frequently, at the expense of the customers. Inadequate consideration into territory makeup and equity. Excessive turnover in sales, sales management and customer success. Strong platform, but still playing catchup in Observability and Security. Culture seems to be in decline.

There is a lot to like about Elastic. New sales leadership, a lot of leadership changes. But I expect great things from the team at Elastic.

The market is lead by 4 main competitors- Splunk (losing ground), Dynatrace, DDOG and Elastic. Inbound lead flow isn't high. Expect a grind in any one of these organisations. Advantage with Elastic is that it was open source so potentially a lot of unknown users out there.
