Can someone explain the difference between a Client Executive vs an Account Executive in the LE GTS segment?

I’m less than a year in here but I’m fairly certain Client Executive is 2-3 promotions up from an AE. Think the career path is AE to Senior AE to Client Exec or Client Director. Not sure which is higher. Think the client director typically has other AEs reporting to them (formally or indirectly.)

Its all about seniority, and pay. AE, sr AE, CE. The job is the same, as with the territory. A Client Director usually hold only one major client, but a client executive is just someone who has had some promotions, or was hired at that level to meet pay-demands. 
In any case, stay away from Gartner! Their delivery model is under threat from AI, and this will effect sales the most. The company will survive (and thrive) but their GTM is under pressure and will need a complete re-structure

I'm been at Gartner for a few years and some of these titles still aren't completely clear to me. I believe a Client Executive is a more senior AE and is more likely to be looking after a large key account with maybe a few smaller accounts in their territory vs multiple smaller accounts.

It is the same role with differnt pay bands. Gartner promotion path is Account Manager, Account Executive, Sr. Account Executive, Client Director. There is also a Client Manager (service side) but have never seen Client Executive. The service promotion path is Client Success Partner, Client Success Manager, Sr. CSM, Lead CSM, then management roles.

This might be a slight oversimplification, but think of it as Customer Success vs Sales. Client Executives and more hands on with clients day to day making sure they are receiving the value their paying for. AE's are on the commercial side of things... renewing and growing account.
