Former Employee I generally had a positive experience during my time at Gartner. Working within HT LE is a brilliant way to learn and, depending on your manager, you are generally well supported to be successful. There is an element of disparity when it comes to account allocation - often new hires/less experienced sellers pick up the accounts that no one else wants or the ones that haven't been looked after for months so are on the brink of cancelling.
Gartner offers the best sales training I have ever experienced - you feel fully empowered to sell Gartner once you have left Academy. I often think back to my Gartner days of selling and apply what I learnt from that to my current job. Sellers are very well compensated throughout the fiscal year as you are paid on whatever you sell regardless of quota attainment.
