Current Employee3.9Nov 16, 2023Grateful with the role - promotion conversations happening within 7-8 months of joining the company
Current Employee3.9Oct 29, 2025There has been a lot of leadership changes and turnover in the last year which has created a lot of disruption. Some of the changes have been for the better and I believe in the CEO's overall vision. The question remains whether or not he can deliver on the vision with the team he has in place which, for the most part, are lackluster.

Former Employee4.3Jun 4, 2025I've been at gitlab during their hyper growth phase, between 2019 and 2023. GitLab was a great place to work at but as the company grew bigger the values changed and turned into a very enterprise minded company with all the typical mindset when it comes to sales. The product is great and product development velocity as well.

Current Employee5.0Jul 31, 2025My overall experience is very positive, great growth opportunities, however new logos attainment is difficult. Many people use GitLab and the free version at that, so getting organisations off the free version is challenging.
