During my year at HiBob, I encountered significant challenges, including a lack of respect for Dutch employment norms and poor communication practices. The leadership often mismanaged contracts and feedback, which created a tense workplace atmosphere. Despite these issues, the talent and growth within my team were clear positives. However, the company's disregard for local customs and the problematic non-renewal of my contract highlighted the need for substantial improvements in cultural understanding and management practices to truly harness the potential of its workforce.

The culture that the company is proud of is cultivated by the employees. It's unfortunate that there are a lot of circumstances when the company fail to compensate their people equally.

Very little professional development, sales roles are a revolving door. The majority of the team never meets quota but instead of examining what structural issues exist in th company, they just fire and rehire and hope it'll be better next time without putting any effort into actually improving anyone's sales skills.
