During my year at HiBob, I encountered significant challenges, including a lack of respect for Dutch employment norms and poor communication practices. The leadership often mismanaged contracts and feedback, which created a tense workplace atmosphere. Despite these issues, the talent and growth within my team were clear positives. However, the company's disregard for local customs and the problematic non-renewal of my contract highlighted the need for substantial improvements in cultural understanding and management practices to truly harness the potential of its workforce.

Decent culture, however aggressive targets that are very difficult to hit. High expectation to hit numbers, be prepared for uncomfortable conversations if you're not tracking against your target.
