Former Employee My experience with Microsoft was just ok. Like many places, it depends on your team and peers.
There are a lot of very smart and professional people. D&I is good. Pay is pretty good. General culture is quite good across the business.
Onboarding is the worst I've experienced.
Compensation structure is so complex that most people can't work out what any given deal will nett them, so they just trust the system!
Your success will depend on how well you can self learn. How well you can manage your time. And of course your customer patch and tech stack.
All in all, if you get the opportunity to work at Microsoft, I would say YES. Just hope it's one of the good teams & Managers.
