Strange Place, unlike anything else in SW/HW/IT Sales. Comp plans are ambiguous by design and fosters fiefdoms of influence led by long term employees. It is almost as if they do not know what to do with a Sr. Sales people from the outside...but they know they need them

Quotas are becoming more and more challenging with AI being the main focus. Leadership higher than direct manager hasn't provided much value and simply acts as a corporate talking head. When I joined, it was a very positive sales culture, but has degraded some over past few years with too many account changes and role consolidations have made it harder to focus on selling. Strong customer loyalty and demand for products, if Microsoft can overcome some internal challenges in GTM.
