Poor marketing and over reliance on SAP Partner opportunities makes new acquisition very challenging. Those with good accounts can do very well whilst the remainder scratch to find new pipeline. Only 2/7 hit target last year in my team but that target was doubled from the previous year and commission cut by 50%.

They had way too many sales people for the addressable market. Unless you had been there years and had premium accounts it was almost impossible to hit your number.

Front line managers are for the most part, fair and will try to make you succeed.... Internal matrix and never ending approvals overcomplicate the sales cycle.... Senior management has failed miserably with acquisition of MicroFocus, specifically the CyberRes group of solutions (Voltage, ArcSight, NetIq & Fortify)...
