Former Employee Not Fusion ERP; new business unit is Local Government (LGGIU) and sells NetSuite for Government ERP. There was no product market fit; for Counties it needed HR, for Cities it needed Utility Billing, and for special districts where it was a good functional fit the product was way out of reach for those budget sizes. Leadership all came from public safety, backgrounds, therefore sales process in public administration was not well understood. Leadership expected transactional sales when selling ERP to local government is anything but. No one on my team was close to meeting quota, and I only got one year to pipe and close an opp in complete greenfield (0 customers) when ERP sales cycles are 2 to 3 years on average. Leadership over hired salespeople, and did not acknowledge territory differences in buying behavior. Micromanagers at mid-level who are checked out and take way too much vacation while the rest of us grind away on base salary only. Browse Other Reviews
