Current Employee It was a great learning experience. Luckily have the opportunity to jump ship at the 1 year mark. Use oracle as a launchpad, dont expect to be promoted here, and if you are dont expect to be promoted into a winning role. SMB AE quota attainment is 6-10%, yes you heard that correct. Severe overhiring issue, and upper leadership can be incompetent.
When I first started at company my role was a regular old BDR, some InBound-some outbound. By Q2, they took away remote Mondays, implemented monthly quotas, and eliminitated outbounding completely. IB lead quality fell, and we were left to adept.
1 week before Q4, we are switched into an entirely OB mid market SDR role. No training, no resources, and an extremely limited territory. We could only work a handful of poor subindustires that Oracle is traditionally the worst at.
On top of all the transition, our commission plan started getting messed with, most defintily due to overhirng. We currently have no commision plan, 1.5 months into the quarter. Them messing with our pay is why im leaving. I do not regret a moment here, but would feel differently after another year in this place. Use as Launchpad.
