Current Employee Overall, it was a great experience, and I learned a lot. The culture seems to be going in the right direction, BUT with Larry at the helm, I wouldn't expect much change. Oracle has a strangle hold on the market in regard to DB, very sticky products that have been part of large enterprise's ecosystem, so its very tough for customers to move away. Very aggressive culture, demanding, but if you can hang, you can make $150k standing on your head. Hard to maneuver through the account team, every other LOB is either eyeing your opp or looking for ways to block your deal, so you don't interfere with any of their active deals. Bit of cannibalism - must be strategic.
