Class of BDC Program was really amazing in 2020 (remote) when I started. They really train you up good. You can ascend pretty quickly into a rep/AE role from BDC role if you do REALLY well. Usually the people who manage the reps you support as a BDC hire you as a rep because you already know the ropes. I made a lot of money in 2021-2022. Ever since, I feel the company has conspired against me and made it impossible to sell / hit quota again. I’ve sold SPARC, x86, ZFS, ZDLRA, Exadata, ExaC@C and now MySQL HeatWave.

Comp isn’t what it used to be. Caps and decelerations were in the comp plan. Want you to sell big deals but if you all too much of your quota to one account your rate tanks. Be prepared to chase SRs as there are always product issues with quarterly updates. Management will make or break your experience.
