Experience was overall good. Company is definitely well known with customers. I would say most of the drawbacks came from the fact I was on a brand new team with a brand new structure. My direct manager didn’t have much industry experience. All that being said, some people were successful and it was absolutely possible to thrive given the right resources. Excellent place to learn the ropes and get my feet wet in a first full-cycle role.

Paychex is a solid company with a good product. Management is good and they provide great training and resources. The salary and commission structure leaves much to be desired and keeps getting worse. Service is terrible on the back end causing issues and deals to fall apart.

The sales process for additional services at Paychex is coached to be deceptive. Quotas are set based on the top 5% of reps, who receive additional leads, territory, and preferential treatment.
