Current Employee Your experience at Salesforce heavily depends on the cloud and team you join. The Marketing Cloud team in Australia presents significant challenges. Leadership is outdated and resistant to change, with account distribution often driven by favoritism rather than fairness. A recent overhaul of the commission structure has made it extremely difficult for most AEs to hit quota—only a select few stand a real chance.
Toxic management styles are tolerated in parts of the MC org, and bullying behavior by certain long-standing managers is well known. Speaking up about issues often leads to retaliation rather than resolution, making it a psychologically unsafe environment for many. If you're considering this role, go in with your eyes wide open and ask tough questions about team culture and management.
