Snowflake is very good if you are an expansion rep working only with existing accounts, but if you are acqusition/new logo you need to be very careful before joining, only a few new logos come in per year and they are very low in terms of ARR (standard is 40K). Databricks is crushing Snowflake at new logos, Fabrics offer has momentum especially among C-level. Snowflake strategy is to promote BDRs and cheap junior sales reps to do the acquisition roles in order to get costs down and show that they can scale cheaper than Databricks who are quickly gaining markets share. Some smart investors have started to discover this. Some leaders are very good, some are snakes.

Product market fit to the segment was not aligned. In the building phase the enterprise reps will lose on the variable. Overall the product is wonderful but regional sales leadership is not invested enough to help the region. Broad based performance should be the key focus for the sales leadership but it is not.
