Initially I was very satisfied with my career trajectory and with the opportunities to earn at SurveyMonkey. In my tenure here I have consistently overachieved vs OTE and I have taken pride in my accomplishments and the client connections I have made along the way. The product itself is solid and brand recognition is high. However SM has been purchased by a Venture Capital firm, and the commission structure has been altered to be much less beneficial to the AE, and the opportunities for growth within the company have been significantly curtailed.

my overall experience was OK. I was there for a few years, and the beginning was great, but 2023 was a slog.

The role was unfortunately terminated after private equity takeover, the total department was laid off. The company now moves to a product led path thus eliminating the need for new sales hires. Compensation was good and 4x quarterly multiplier on an already generous Comms plan... Although a small percentage of the team actually achieved it
