Question

How does Workday treat remote work? Is it generally accepted based on team/location or is hybrid enforced? Interested in Customer Base AE role and would like to be fully remote.

The company line was they wanted AE's in the office 50%, however my entire team never went into the office and our RVP only went in b/c it was near his house and more convenient for him to go in.. He never really 'enforced' anything with it and only mentioned something about it in group meetings if management above was stirring about it.  He didn't care.  Overall would say they were very easy/cool about it and cared more about your time in front of a client than ever being in an office... Would guess this varies team-by-team.  Hope this helps.

For a bit they tried to say we had to come in if we were within 50 miles of an office, but certain reps were hired with the designation of being remote employees and they fought back on that.  It's generally understood that if you live near an office you come in a few days a week or when leadership is in, or there are team meetings.  The rest of the time we are either travelling to meet with prospects or can WFH.

When I was there, if you lived within an hour commute it was expected that you were in the office every day (unless you were traveling to prospect/client meetings). I’m not sure how it is post-pandemic. My RVP was a passive aggressive douchebag about it. That was my personal experience.
