Job Description

Our team is looking for a Manager of Business Development to lead a team of Business Development Representatives. Your team generates unique leads, responds to inbound inquiries, and develops relationships with prospective customers, understanding their business requirements and how Unanet might address their needs. You should have experience managing and mentoring a team of sales professionals, playing an integral role in formulating go-to-market strategies, as well as prospect sourcing.

What You’ll Do

  • Achieve and exceed established sales quota
  • Partner with our Vice President of Business Development to implement, execute, measure, and improve Unanet’s business development strategy
  • Lead day-to-day operations of a dedicated Business Development team
  • Understand and capably articulate the breadth and value of Unanet’s product portfolio
  • Participate in sales program training sessions, meetings, skill-building and professional development courses
  • Hire, manage, develop, and mentor a team of Business Development Representatives
  • Assist in identifying lead sources, constructing prospect lists, as well as shadowing and scoring calls
  • Collaborate with our Vice President of Business Development on programs and processes that drive pipeline
  • Provide analysis and reporting on team performance as well as forecasts based on individual representative performance and historical trends

Your First 90 Days

In your First 30 Days, you will learn our solutions, target market, and key profiles. You will meet with your team, peers, and senior leadership. You will learn our current systems, tools, assets, and messaging. 

In your First 60 Days, you will review your team’s performance, listen to their past sales calls to establish their baselines. You will partner with your peers and experienced team members to help with your onboarding of new hires as well as form your plan to help the individuals and the team you lead improve in their sales performance. 

In your First 90 Days, you will review your plan and the month's results with department leadership. You will iterate and optimize your plan with our Vice President of Business Development. You'll be fully ramped, at or above quota, and an established leader on our Sales team.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in B2B software
  • Experience hiring, managing, and developing a team of Business Development Representatives
  • Demonstrated history of exceeding revenue quota
  • Proven experience prospecting via cold calling, email, and other digital communication mediums
  • Strong proficiency with cold outreach, discovery questions, objection handling, articulating value proposition, and time management
  • Proven ability to write effective emails, call scripts, and cadences with high conversion rates
  • Ability to quickly and successfully ramp early career Business Development Representatives

Differentiators

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Prior experience with Salesforce
  • Prior experience in software sales
  • Experience with a variety of sales technologies (e.g., ExecVision, SalesLoft, Gong, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Drift)

The base salary for this opportunity is $75,000 - 80,000 per year. You will be eligible for employee equity as well as to earn commissions subject to commissions plans and policies that may be in effect from time to time.
