Current Employee Databricks isn’t paying strat reps. Commit deals pay 1% so you can sell a multimillion dollar deal and make under $100k. Consumption targets are so high and the accounts are so big, you are penalized for running top accounts which are the most amount of work. (And most valuable to company)
Management has a fixation on hiring externally for leaders and mainly from one large CRM company and your directors/VPs do not understand Data. Rarely hiring from within and if considered it’s a horrible over engineered process then turned down.
The best reps are looking elsewhere bc making $400k to bust your back isn’t motivating even with the IPO coming. No career growth and not paying well doesn’t make sense for this high performing company.
Product is great, engineering great, pay is bad. Plus the tedious process to get things done on sales shows leadership doesn’t think we do anything. To get an order form out is about 50 steps and a million follow up’s and slacks and you don’t get paid on it. Juice not worth the squeeze. Browse Other Reviews
