Fastly's Exec's have forced new compensation plans down to the sales teams with near impossible targets to hit. Further, they've structured the commission payouts to be HEAVILY reliant on new logo acquisition. This company has no marketing engine and zero top of funnel lead generation. TLDR - they've made it nearly impossible to make money. I knew reps who sold multi-million dollar deals and took home maybe $1,000. It's sad to see because the vast majority of people at the company are incredible all around. However, leadership have decided that imposing completely unrealistic sales goals, without proper structure in place, is the path forward.

Fastly was an amazing place to work. New leadership especially in the sales organization has torn apart just about any hope of ever making money, making matters worse -- I'm not sure that there is a single sales rep at Fastly that benefits from these changes. They are lowering base pay for new reps, the product is incredibly technical and requires long times to ramp....Read More

There’s a lot of potential here. The new CEO has been brought in to bring about change and that takes endurance of time and pain while the best path forward is figured out. I’m living in that now.
