Quota attainment is still very reasonable. However there has been shifting priorities as products that are paid for by usage and on a rolling basis have become a larger part of the business.

GitHub has a great product and a strong brand, but the sales environment can be challenging. Quotas are tough, internal processes can slow things down, and it’s not always easy to navigate the partnership with Microsoft. Career progression isn’t always fair. That said, it’s a rewarding place if you’re passionate about the product and patient with the challenges.

GitHub is an awesome company with great people. Our benefits are the best. Anyone can say this about any company, but it was a better company, both in terms of culture and opportunity >3 years ago.
