Former Employee Many of the deals I started were given to others with no explanation. The Core team wouldn't let me contact my clients since they did not want anything to interfere with their "On-dash" core deals. Any attempt to break into the marketing areas of my prospects was met with nastygrams from the core team to my MKT strategic VP's. My biggest competitor was the Salesforce core team trying to position their products versus the best product because of "Off-Dash" core quota credit issues. Even though you'll be told that you are "Co-Prime" and an equal account owner for the Marketing Cloud strategic team, that is not the case and your Sales VP will most likely never challenge the core team when they are pulling their BS gerrymandering within the account. When you only have around fifteen strategic accounts and your core reps are telling you NOT to call into half of your accounts/prospects it can be very challenging. There is much cronyism at Salesforce so if you snuggle up to your VP (and they like you) as a "Chosen One" you'll get other folks qualified closing deals transferred to you with minimal work required.
