I have been with Salesforce for 5 years. Overall, I am happy working here. My leadership thus far has been great, but I've also heard horror stories from other teams. It took a little while to start making real money, but I am fairly happy with the compensation. The base can definitely be higher, especially for internal promotions. I don't like that they offer significantly higher salary for external hires, but that seems to be the case for most companies.

SB AE role at Salesforce is primarily inbound and you farm existing accounts. There's barely any leads coming in maybe 1 per week. You'd have to get lucky with a Tier 1 account that constantly feeds you ACV otherwise your not hitting target.
