Salesforce definitely has a performance-based culture and the opportunity to blow your number away and have a career year is very possible. However, the leadership in place currently is incredibly weak, and the company “politics” make it impossible to thrive unless you’re willing to compromise your values and suck up to the right executives (this includes influential RVPs).
