Listed a month agoServiceTrade is a fast growing SaaS and mobile application company that provides customer service applications to commercial service contractors. The Pre-Sales Engineer is critical to the continued success of the sales organization with responsibility for bridging any gaps between the business and technical needs of our prospects and customers. Your activities involve engaging with the sales representatives and their prospects to understand how ServiceTrade products fit into their plan for success. You will need to present technical answers about the product, drive the technical evaluations of sales opportunities, and share workflow best practices with prospects and customers. This includes a good understanding of how ServiceTrade fits in with other industry-specific software customers and prospects may currently utilize in their business.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
- Assists in the sales cycle by providing technical information and value through customer facing interactions and identifying opportunities to establish best practices, packaged solutions and standard processes for efficient deployments.
- Identify and understand customer requirements, handle buying objections, and position the product for success upon purchase by the customer by recommending the appropriate combination and configuration of ServiceTrade products, services and integrated applications.
- Provide online demonstrations of our product(s) to qualified prospects for advanced use cases.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the customer and internal team to ensure the customer vision is realized and understood by advancing opportunities through the technical elements of the sales evaluation process.
- Mentor the sales team by educating them on best practices, unique customer use cases, and the creative ways that solutions will need to be architected.
- Contribute to sales effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives.
- Support the sales organization by providing product or service technical expertise through internal resources and/or customer-facing interaction.
- Partner with sales, account management and customer success to determine implementation plans and relevant pricing for successful customer deployment of ServiceTrade solutions.
- Work closely with Product, Sales & Customer Success teams to productize proven packaged solutions.
- Some amount of travel may be required to provide onsite demonstrations to customers.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Project Management experience preferred
- 3 to 5 years of sales, sales engineer, solutions architect or customer success experience
- Familiarity with legacy construction accounting software like Sage 100C, Sage 300, Viewpoint, Foundation, etc is preferred
