With Private Equity taking over, Smartsheet has lost a lot of its customer centric charme towards a revenue first strategy. It is slowly recovering and a lot of deciders have been replaced with experienced SaaS managers.

Great product terrible leadership. Low level managers are not managed. No growth opportunities. No transparency and internal processes are a mess.

Smartsheet is failing its sales organization. Part of the expansion teams' responsibilities is to renew customers on the new license model. The launch of the model is a complete failure. True-ups have been paused, reps aren't hitting their numbers, and there is no compensatory consideration for the 6+ months of which we basically can't sell licenses.

Overall experience has been very mixed. Been in-seat for just over 1.5 years, and I've seen 30-40% turnover due to voluntary leave or getting PIP'd and fired. Management has no clue how to handle new pricing model, and messaging is inconsistent. Will be very challenging to hit current quota without renewal uplifts year-over-year.
