Current Employee The Sales leadership team has completely failed the Smartsheet sellers.
With the new User Subscription Model (USM) launching in January, the culture at Smartsheet has shifted, and so has the earning potential for enterprise sellers.
The company has paused true-ups for nearly all enterprise customers, which means most individual contributors are falling short of their targets. With an impossible selling environment, leadership has made absolutely zero changes to quotas and reps have not been compensated in any way for the paused true ups.
Customers are also very unhappy with this new pricing model. Many are pausing any expansion with SMAR or putting their renewals out for bid.
While leadership is asking sellers to push through the current adversity, anyone considering an enterprise role should be extremely cautious.
