VMware invented vSphere which is literally used by every single Fortune 1000 company in the world. You get a conversation with every one of those companies and bundle other products with their renewals. Other than that, VMware is a very DEI and work-life-balance focused company (great work culture) but was/is an absolute mess from a product development perspective. It lost its way and got eaten by the hyperscalers, which is why VMware is being bought by Broadcom.

Region based commissions. Even If you hit 200% with your accounts but other account teams underperform then everyone gets $0 commission. No accelerators. Paid quarterly as commission advances capped at 100%. Max possible capped at 200% paid at annual true up after the close of the fiscal year. RSUs are main incentive tool with quarterly vesting over 4 years.
