Outside the general market conditions for software buying, the CDP space is definitely having a moment. Consolidation and category confusion. CDP is definitely not going anywhere it just might look different

Product market fit and demand for Segment is very weak compared to the targets and performance expectations. Lots of customer are churning in particular the mid-market & smb customers. High levels of turnover in all areas of the sales org.

I think Segment has fallen behind in the CDP space due to resting on its laurels and letting low cost competitors catch up. It’s really hard to make quota without getting lucky on a big deal or 2.
