The field sales role is not competitive salary unless you come from an outside company. If you start and promote from within, it is very difficult to increase your salary/OTE. This is why most people who work at Oracle leave and then return some years later. The demand for OCI has increased dramatically over the years and its becoming stronger in the market, however it is still difficult to displace some of the existing cloud vendors.
