Salesforce is not what it once was. The “ohana” culture is no longer. Promotions aren’t based on performance - rather if you’re connected to the right people. If you happen to get a great manager and patch, you’ll do well. A lot of bad management though.

Comp plan increase by 60% YoY, with some products decreasing in ACV recognition (eg. Data Cloud 50% out of 100% sold, Third Party Messages from 50% to 25% out of 100% sold) - really really unfair

3 T’s matter more than you can imagine. I’ve seen great AEs flounder and okay AEs crush it. TMT attainment is ~30% and most people aren’t leaving accounts that even have a potential opportunity and new accounts are almost no where to be found. You can be successful here and make $400K+ but you need to stick around for 3-4 years.
