Current Employee The BDR team at Databricks is no longer what it once was. The commission structure is laughably bad, with 60% of your commission being entirely out of your control and another 20% being barely in your control, leaving you with a measly CAPPED 20% commission to try to hit the OTE that was initially advertised. The product is no longer the only one in the market, and tonnes of competitors are starting to gain footholds in accounts. Quotas increase dramatically every three months as we continually strive for 30% growth every quarter. Furthermore, to achieve these numbers, most people are either reporting fake or adjusted pipeline numbers. Politics is rife, and promotion is all about a vibe check, with high performers being scrutinised for menial administrative details instead of being given autonomy, freedom, and respect. Databricks is no longer what it was, especially for SDR/BDRs. The RSUs given upon joining are also a quarter of what I would have received, which was not great to begin with. Browse Other Reviews
