Data Cloud... Specialist - that word is important. Previously, "co-prime" or "specialist" roles get excluded from SPIFFs and at least in the marketing cloud, were all let go in the layoff, where "prime" roles were safe.

Data Cloud is built on Salesforce's old CDP, so while there are analytics use cases, the range of use cases is much broader than just that.  Your industry coverage really matters here.

Hi. I am a boomerang and just came back to SF a few weeks ago.  Data Cloud is not Tableau. Although Data cloud will role up to the Tableau CEO it is a completely separate product from Tableau and in my opinion any time a new group/product is launched that is the best time to get into that group.

Agree with the previous response - it would be exciting to join this team. But I would dig in on quota attainment, the number of accounts you will be assigned, and make sure you have a BDR to help prospect.

At the moment nobody is sure who owns data cloud. Is it Tab, marketing or core AEs. At the moment it unclear, anyone can sell it atm. This will probably change next FY

Wary enough. It's a new product and therefore has no market penetration or awareness. You could do some massive deals or do next to nothing. It's not Tableau rebranded, completely new offering
