While this is true, it's certainly not impossible. I didn't have AI experience when I joined 7 months ago, but I did have a huge thirst for learning and I proved that to my interviewers and recruiters along the way. I would highly suggest checking out the free Databricks training on the website to help with your interview prep and prove that even if you don't have an AI background, you're very interested in learning. The Lakehouse Fundamentals course (for example) takes about 3-4 hours and you'll get a certificate at the end that you can add to your resume (if nothing else).

I have heard this, I would also add if you do not have prior data & AI experience it will be extremely tough to be successful. Databricks is an extremely technical and complex sales process. Majority of reps in certain divisions are no where near their number.
